Happy Birthday, Deedee!

Little girl had her first birthday this past weekend. I wish I could say that we celebrated with pomp and circumstance, but the reality... well... we forgot. oops! Actually, we routinely forget the girls' birthdays, but we did feel kinda bad about missing Deedee's very first!

We tried to make up for it with an abundance of love. As a matter of fact, this spoiled little puglet -- not puppy anymore! -- gets so much love on a daily basis, every day is like her birthday.

Guilty puppy

I do not know what you did, little pugletini. But it looks like it will not make me happy when I find out.

Poor Cleo

Why is my little baby so morose?

Little girl had a violent reaction to some food, and had horrible diarrhea for days. Really horrible. As in, all over the place. As our housekeeper so eloquently put it -- 'Hay MUCHO MUCHO!!' The situation called for drastic measures. Those #2 Huggies are ingenious. With an impromptu hole cut in the back for the curly tail, they're perfect for a pug.

Cleo improved quickly on a low-residual diet based on rice. Certainly never affected her appetite.

Photo ham

The pugs love to pose for the camera. Perhaps because, from day one, I've always had a camera lens shoved into their flat little faces.

Cleo says -- mama. this is my good side.

Where's the ball?

Can you find it? Dee and Cleo have.

True California pug

The weather has been lovely -- not too hot, not too chilly. Deedee has been taking full advantage of the house's now constantly open doors, by helping herself to the good napping spots in the yard.

A Serious Plethora Of Pug

Sasha is the first to bag the pic.
Bunni then takes off, and Deedee just gives up on the pose.

Cleo stands alone.

Bedtime

Deedee has found a good spot to sleep.

Cleo has also found a semi-reasonable spot.

Sasha is not falling for it. She knows that there are treats still to be had.
