Waiting for a treat

Cleo, parked under Dave's chair, waiting for a stray morsel from our dinner.

Sasha wants to know if Cleo is going to share.

New rainwear

It's been a little sprinkly during our afternoon walks lately. No matter. It gives an opportunity for the fabulous pugs to model their new rain outfits, dahling. Note the excitedly curved tails.

Cleo has chosen, for this outing, a glam punk-rocker-meets-bridget-bardot coverup.

Functional, yet definitely punk. Note the rebel trim.

Sasha, on the other hand, has opted for the sleek, flower-child-now-grown-up look.

She knows how adorable she looks in this coat.

An apple a day?

Clearly, all of our dental efforts are wasted. le sigh.

Look! it's Jaws! Run away!

More proof of Sasha's aging

The other night, we noticed Sasha has one large asymmetrical whisker hair that's gone white.

She looks a little lopsided.

More of the fashion forward pugs

They were just so cute on their walk the other day. I feel the need to share more of their glamour shots.

MV Pug Sunday

We brought the pugs to Mill Valley's Pug Sunday this past weekend. It was not one of the girls' better outings.

Cleo spent the better part of the hour parked next to my foot, for protection. When actually noticed by another pug, she would crawl into a lap. Any lap. Even someone's she had never met before.

Sasha met a few friends. Sasha allowed a little bit of inquisitive sniffage, and then got outraged at the imposition.

We left then. But not after meeting a few sweet pugs.

Pretty in Pink

Spring comes early to this area of the world.

We took advantage of the balmy weather and the break in the rain to strut our pink stuff.

Youuuu arrrre getting sleeeeepyy

Sasha's progression from alert wakefulness to contemplative sleepiness to just plain old unconsciousness. This process usually take about, oh, 20 seconds.

Cleo luuuuvs her Gumabone

Cleopatra is quite the chewer. She spends all of her free time gnawing on her bone. Then when the process of sinking her gigantor teeth into the toy exhausts her, she ends up collapsing and sleeping on top of it.

Another lazy Sunday

We got back from Tahoe this past Sunday.

After all that snow, it was nice to enjoy a sunny afternoon with the pugs. Two of the puglets' most favorite things -- sleep, and sun.

Baby it's wet outside

Apparently it rains a lot here during the winter. The pugs do not like the rain, AT ALL. Sometimes they'll just refuse to evacuate and stand in one spot, looking pathetic.

They look so cute in their raincoats. I don't know why they don't like the rain more than they do.

The pugs are so patient

One of the best parts about taking the girls on trips with us, is getting in free snugglage on the car trip. Something about being in the car makes them instantly ready to take a nap, and very loveable. Except when we stop. Then they become Rabid Alert Pugs.

We stopped once to get gas on the way home -- Dave walked out to access the punp. The way the pugs reacted to his leaving, you would've thought they'd been totally abandoned by all they knew and loved. Never mind I was SITTING RIGHT THERE in the front seat.

Post-skiing pugs

We brought the pugs to Tahoe with us this past weekend. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any new snow for the past month for the pugs to play in. They did manage to completely and totally wear themselves out, however, sniffing around and investigating our rental cabin. They were so exhausted after a day of this, that when we came back after a day on the slopes, they were pliant sleepy pugs. Sleepy pugs are sweet to sleep with.

The pugs are now worn out

After spending a good part of the day with us, seeing (and smelling) the sights, and yowling their fool heads off at every public opportunity, the princesses were exhausted. They treated themselves to a nap when we came home.

The pugs are IRATE

We took the pugs with us while doing some errands this past weekend. They enjoyed the ride, but became tres upset and totally beside themselves when we had to leave them in the car. For example, when going into La Boulange to get macaroons.
This was a little humiliating for all involved.
