Road trip

On the way back from the vet, Sashacleo experienced, at close quarters, what exactly it is to be tortured by a 5# puglet. First, the puppy stalks her prey.

Then she pounces.

She realizes she cannot possibly get near their jugulars in that position, and readjusts.

Deedee then focuses her attention on her first victim, Sasha, and attempts to lick her to death. Cleo takes this opportunity to flee.

Sasha is indignant.

First visit to the vet

Deedee had her first visit with our vet. Little puppy is 5.6#! She got a clean bill of health. She also got mucho love and attention from all at the office. She reciprocated by peeping on the floor.

Sashacleo also came along. For moral support. Actually, it was for their own selfish reasons -- they get a ridiculous amount of treats.

Just right

Deedee has found a comfortable spot.

Snugglebuddies

That is, right before Cleo just couldn't take it anymore and shoved Deedee off of the sofa.

Exuberant pug

Sasha's almost-favorite thing in the whole world is... tomato. So much so, that it ends up on her head?

Pug buddies

Deedee would like to hang with the Snotsha.

She gets her wish.

Deedee's first Pug Sunday

So many pugs! So many playmates! So many butts to sniff!

Deedee decides to take a break from all the sniffing. Note the spot of stranger pug saliva on her head.

Deedee is wondering if that is truly that tasty.

She was quite the hit with all the children at the park, as well. Note that she is sound asleep.

Sleep -- A Series In Progression

BFF

Little miss Deedee adores her new playmate, the (slightly unfortunate) Cleo.

The feeling is not mutual, but there is definitely tolerance. Such a good puglet.

Goodbye, cruel world

Sasha has been doing a lot of sleeping lately. Altho it's probably not any more than usual, I'm just around to witness the magnitude of sleepage. In order to screen her eyes from the bright daylight sun, she will usually bury her face.

Or, her whole body.

My, what sharp teeth you have

Deedee's teeth are like little needles. Tiny, almost imperceptible, but they certainly get the job done. We try to re-direct her from using them to perforate our body parts to honing them on a toy, instead.

Cleo shows some interest

I think Cleo has finally come around from seeing Deedee as her demon-spawn nemesis, to treating her as her playmate.

Sasha will have none of it. She is not deceived.

All 3 pugs

This pic was taken shortly before Deedee ousted the other 2 pugs from the bed with her disruptive bed-chewing antics.

Pretty pug

Sometimes, I truly believe that Sasha enjoys dressing it up a little.

Beach time

We took the puglets to the beach again the other day. Deedee had such a great time! She was shnergled by almost everyone present at the beach. And she ingested nearly half of the sand she encountered.

Puppy frenzy!

We finally have grass in our backyard! The puglets are beside themselves. Sasha and Cleo immediately christened it. Deedee immediately started to eat it.

Certainly an improvement from sitting in the dirt.

Deedee apparently was so delighted with the addition, she had to observe it from every angle, multiple times.

Too much love of the toys

Yes, it's a playpen. Yes, it's intended for human babies. And, yes, I have conscripted yet another made-for-people product for use with my pugs. In my defense, I would challenge any pet product manufacturer to come with something as ingenious as an easily cleanable, fluid-resistant cage! Deedee is not the hugest fan, but deals with encagement better with all of her toys.

Perhaps she got a little too excited with the bee hive toy. We heard all this thrashing while eating our dinner, and looked over to see our puppy's head trapped in the hive.
