Inspector Cleo

I took the puglets to the house the other day. Sort of a slow re-introduction. They immediately took this first reunion opportunity to evacuate on the front lawn. And inspect the newly tiled bathroom floor.

Yipes! no pugs allowed! apparently the area was all marked off so that no one would disturb the fresh tiles. Curious pugs were not accounted for, I guess.

Pugs on errands

The girls accompanied me on my errands this afternoon. They do luv to cuddle in the car. They prefer my lap, but their second fave place is the passenger side seat. Sashacleo.

Cleosasha?

Rub the Buddha belly

When the mood strikes her, Cleo likes a good belly rub just as much as the next pug.

Maybe even more so.

Taking a moment

The pugs took a quick break from their whirlwind weekend to sneak in a quick sleepy snuggle.

Auntie Mina!

Mina came to visit the pugs this past weekend. The pugs were very excited to see their auntie. Cleo got in lots of snuggling.

Little Cleo was quite attached to her, like a treefrog.

Acrobat pug

My little Cleo is 5, going on 6. She still acts puppy, tho.

Flexible like a puppy, too.

Snarfsnarf yummm

One of the 'commands' we've 'taught' the pugs is -- where's your toy?? The questioned pug will then jet off in search of the favorite stuffed animal of the moment. Well, a few years ago, that same question sent Cleo off in search high and low throughout the house. Minutes later, she returned with... a few Qtips. We didn't encourage this sort of behavior because we were afraid she would choke on them. Didn't stop her. As a matter of fact, to this day, she still prefers the surreptitious Qtip snack.

Note the prominent tooth marks. Only a Cleo could do that.

She just can't help herself.

Wha' happened?

We had rearranged the furniture in the living room temporarily to accomodate the violent arm movements of our new Wii. The pugs retreated to a safe spot on the sofa.

Not so safe. After getting whacked on the head with a Wii controller, Sasha decided to flee.

oops. We had moved the coffee table out of the way, next to the sofa -- the customary location of the pugs' steps. Sasha jumped onto the table, expecting to be able to run down the nonexistant stairs. She was befuddled at being trapped like a drink coaster.

Pug Love

There wasn't a whole lot of pug socializing, at first. Sashacleo kept to themselves, avoiding the over-friendly puppy.

Bunni's persistence wore off. First, she won over Sasha (or beat her resistance down -- Sasha is in the foreground, snuggling Bunni's bum).

Then, Bunni managed not only to get Cleo to tolerate her proximity...

...but also her cuddlage.

Look at these pugs. You can't separate them.

Tippling pugs

The holidays, as celebrated by the Kim family, involves quite a bit of food. And booze. Such delightful times are shared not only by the humans. Sasha gets quite excited at the prospect of a nice Bordeaux.

Cleo has decided to abstain, this time.

Not so, for Bunni.

Winter storm

Well, the new year started with a bang in the Bay area. Hurricane force winds woke us up from a sound sleep the other night, with the sound of wind and rain trying to break thru our windows and rip our apartment from the rest of the building. Sasha was alarmed. She was even more alarmed when Dave took the puglets out in the wind and rain to do their business. There was no interest. The pugs almost got knocked over by the wind.

The roads were a mess. Bridges were shut down, highways were closed. It took me 2 and 1/2 hours to get into work. Gave me plenty of time to take pics of Marin underwater, from my car.

We rushed to our house the next morning to make sure it was intact. It is. Looks like there was quite a bit of debris from broken trees and branches, tho.

There is one that benefits from all the rain -- our tangerine tree!

Santa has come to town!

With all the woeful melodrama she exhibits in the rain (why whyyyyyy do i need to be out in the wet), Santa thought the little princess would benefit from a nice set of shoes. to match her new smart coat!

We think Bunni liked her new shoes.

Not in the right way, tho. Little bunnunu got a little confused with the concept of 'shoe'.

One of her favorite things

There's no cuddle position that Bunni prefers more than The Carotid. This is not an easy feat. First, the small puglet must scale nearly unsurmountable obstacles.

She then enjoys a brief gloating moment of victory...

... before settling onto the victim's carotid and airway. very comfortable.

Bunni spares no one from The Carotid.

She looked so comfy, that Cleo decided to give it a try.

Sasha made a half attempt. She didn't quite get up to the neck-ular region.

Sasha says -- i am not placing myself within shnergling range.

My what big lips you have

After living such a short time in CA, our collective skins have gotten thinner. We weren't handling the snowy, cold East very well. Sasha took every opportunity to bundle up.

Bunni says -- i weel keep u warm.

i weel deleecately drape my eenormous lip on your leg to keep u warm.
