Happy Halloween!

Even tho there were no trick-or-treaters, and there was no trick-or-treating, I had to costume up the puglets. Unfortunately, I was forced to use their old costumes, instead of new ones.

Cleo is supposed to be a piglet. No matter how many treats I stuffed down her gullet, tho, I couldn't get her to look down at the camera so that I could see her snout. She looks more like a pink potato.

Sasha does such a good bee.

I went a little nuts with the bumblebee theme.

Don't worry. Sasha got her reward after all that patience.

Reunited

One of the big pieces of food... er... I mean, grandma, came for a visit! The pugletinis were overjoyed. Mom snuck in a stealth shnerkle for the private pug.

Sasha didn't seem to mind.

Cleo was very clingy and followed mom around the whole weekend, preferring her lap above all else.

Driving in style

'Tis not enough for the puglet to have maximum security seatbelt harness. Must also have large plush blanket to cushion her from the shock of riding in the - gasp! - backseat.

This is proof of destruction

Don't be fooled by the mini-teeth Cleo shows up front all the time.

The reason why she's able to gnaw thru a bone in record time?? Check out these saber teeth.

She's upset with me for divulging her secret.

Halloween Bunni

Bunni is verrry excited about Halloween. what to dress as? a pumpkin? a monkey? no... she insisted on a more name-appropriate costume.

She was a little harumph at the shrieks of laughter that ensued.

Another good spot

One wonders why Cleo's preferred spots are always on our clean laundry.

My little girl

Sasha was keeping Dave company while he was on the computer. Such an alert pug.

So lonely

Little Cleo missed me when I was in NYC. She was apparently quite mopey.

She even ended up snuggling with my pillow a couple of times.

Aaahhhh....

Sasha found a good sunny spot.

Weekend of snuggles

I had a wonderful weekend with the Bunnunu. Such a little cuddle pug -- when the mood is right.

One of her favorite spots to rest upon is the neck, right on the carotid.

Little Bunni got quite a few shnerkles from her auntie.

Fall in Manhattan

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful crisp fall weekend, and take a meandering walk thru Central Park.

Bunni says -- did u get my good side?

Rain in NYC = Filthy Pug

It's been raining and spitting fairly steadily. (Miss Dainty Bunni does NOT like the rain.) The sidewalks of Manhattan become a digusting sheet of cesspool when wet. Unfortunately, little puglets become quite filthy as well. So upon returning to the apartment, it's off to the bathtub we go.

She doesn't seem to mind the bath, unlike some other princess pugs I know.

Bunni needs more toys

We went for a short walk in the rain. It would've been longer, but there was pug mutiny. Apparently SomeBody doesn't like to have her dainty paws wet. So we settled in for a nice, long, indoor, toy wrestling session instead.

The octopus toy seems to be one of her favorites.

But, really, the shoe toy trumps all. Yes, that is my shoe.

I scolded her. Bunni retreated to a corner to sulk. oi, poor pug. You may chew on your mama's shoe instead.

A day in the life of a princess pug

Bunni has a good life. She wakes up in her spacious bed, inspects her humans (the same ones she's shoved to the sides of the bed during the night), and marches them out for a vigorous walk in the crisp morning air. Then she gets a visit from her auntie sonia, who stuffs her with treats when her mama isn't looking. She then decides it's time for a toy.

Wait a minute. That doesn't look like a regular pug toy.

Nooooo, those are my socks. the ones she's rooted out from my suitcase, after tossing out most of my clothes.

She knows they're in there somewhere.

On the road again

After the torrential rains we had all last night, today was a beautiful sunny day. I decided to bring the puglets with me on my errands so that they could enjoy the day, too.

They are very good car companions. Sometimes they're even marginally well-behaved.

Snuggle pugs

The sweetlets like nothing better than to curl up on our laps and snooze while we're watching TV. Just one big pile of pug.

Pug in a blanket revisited

Sasha was feeling a little groundhog-ish the other night. She decided to burrow underneath the throw.

She says -- i need my private beauty sleep. go 'way.

It's... THE BALLTOY!!!!!

Why are the pugletinis so excited??

It's the ball toy!!

Sashacleo luv the ball toy more than anything else in the world, except for maybe banana. All it takes is one hint, one whisper of the words "ball" and "toy", and there is a flurry of pug excited snorting, spinning and wild chasing.

Mmmm.... laundry....

The pugs are attracted to clean, fresh, newly warm laundry like moths to a flame. Sasha likes to snuggle up with the mountain of clothes.

Cleo likes to just dive right in.

Laundry day

The tragedy of the new apartment is that there are no laundry facilities in the actual apartment. We have to haul all of our laundry into the basement, and - gasp! - pay to wash/dry some loads. This results in a lot of back and forth movement, and opening and closing of the front door. Cleo decided to settle down and wait for me to come back.

Sausalito

Our new apartment is about 10 seconds from the Golden Gate National Recreational Area. Which means that, all it takes is a short walk to get to sweeping views of the bay.

We decided to take the pugs while we explored the trails. Cleo was having a marvelous time.

Sasha pooped out early. Poor limpy pug.

Cleo then decided that she needed a break, too.
