Even MORE Pug Meltage

I can't help it. Everywhere I turn, there's a collapsible-faced puglet to document. I think Deedee learned the half-smushed face thing from Sasha. Since apparently a pug only really needs one nostril to breathe.

More Pug Meltage

It's apparently too much to expect a puglet to keep it together when sleepy. I don't even know how Deedee is managing to breathe, here.

Rare pug snugglage moment

Unorchestrated moments of rampant pug affection are the best. Even if I'm not directly the giver or receiver of such cuddling. It just warms a mama's heart to know that her sweetlings share their love.

Belated Post -- Rikki meets the family for the first time!

Sardines

We are in the heart of ski season, and last weekend was EPIC powder.

What did the snow- and cold-fearing sweetlings do? Why, the pugs enjoyed an indulgent weekend at home while we were skiing in Tahoe. It was apparently exhausting. Instead of sounding the wakeup call at 6am this morning, the pugs decided to sleep in a little.

Covered with pug

Nothing can lift one's mood like having a pug draped over every appendage.

Must. Not. Lose. Control.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to maintain calm with a shnergle-able pug around. Esp one with such soft nose wrinkles.

Rikki Retrospective

We miss the Rikki Tikki Tembo No So Rembo. She's so damn cute.

mama! i wanna go back to nyc!

The puglet is ever so subtly telling me that she misses her cousins, Bunni and Rikki. Deedee would like a 1st class ticket to Manhattan, please.

Rare sighting

Of the uncommonly seen, nearly indistinguishable Platypus Pug.

Deedee's new sweater

Since last knitting season (winter of 2009), Deedee has... er... grown a bit. She's matured from puppy to adolescent! So I knit her a new sweater based on her slightly, well, larger, measurements.

Snuggling with the Grampa

The pugs' fave activity. Snuggling. Sleeping. In the protective embrace of a loved human, preferably.... the grampa.

Initiation into the pack of pugs

Sasha, Cleo and Deedee were not remiss in introducing their new cousin to the ways of the pack. They sure showed her how things get done around here.

I have no idea where Bunni is in this pic. She's probably off foraging somewhere, like a real pug.

Oh, Sasha

Cease your drooling. The Big Pieces of Food have gone, The New Year has started, and so has the diet for the fat pug.

Pug education

Little puglet Deedee is also a literate pug. Well, that is... she's useful when one is wanting a break from reading, anyway.

No shortage of pugs for the workforce

Not in this household. Particularly none as adept at computer skills as is Miss Deedee.

Cleo the luv pug

Nothing better than to be reunited with her grampa. She didn't leave his side, tummy nook, armpit nook, whatever, for a single second.

She was even generous enough to share the grampa with other passed-out puglets (this one happens to be Rikki).

Happiness is...

... napping in a sunny spot, surrounded by 5 pugs.

Opening Chrismas presents

As the newest member of the family, Rikki deserved her own gift left by Santa, underneath the Christmas tree. What could it be? The pug is curious.

OOh! yet another Christmas-themed dog toy!

A be-ribboned Deedee comes over to investigate.

In the true holiday spirit, Rikki shares her Christmas bounty.

It was a good year

Looking back, we had a pretty good year. Any year in which we end up with more pug than we started with is a good year, tho. Our little sweeties.

New Year's resolutions be damned -- the pugs all got some alone time with a beef rib bone. Pug bliss.
