There is nothing that the puglet loves more than playing, especially with another exuberant puppy, like Lola. What's great about her enthusiasm, is that after an extended play session, Deedee will actually let us sleep in past 6AM in the next morning.

Deedee has a new friend
Our awesome dog grooming place had a Saturday morning puppy lesson the other weekend. It was supposed to help us stop our exuberant puppy from jumping up on people in delight. Success! There was no jumping. There was just a lot of wrestling. with the other puppy.

i am queen of the world! or the sofa, anyway
Deedee is feeling pretty good about herself.
And yet, Cleo is feeling even more fortunate.
Sasha is really the queen of them all.

Why is Deedee tired?
Because I had to hose her off when we got home, in order to wash off all of the dirt and debris she jumped into and rolled around in at every chance she got.

New kibble
Deedee likes the stuff so much she picks them out first. And then runs off somewhere to gloat over it, since they're so big she apparently thinks they're treats.

Carwash
My poor car, after harboring 2 anxious pugs for several hours the other day on the way to and from the vet's, was filthy. Good thing the carwash is dog-friendly. The girls got in some good sniffs, fresh water, and tasty treats on a hot day.

Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho, It's Off To The Vet We Go
It's been a month since Cleo has seen the dermatologist at UC Davis. Since then, her skin has cleared up, she's been much less itchy, and she has been free of any horrible runny-poop episodes. So, it's off to Davis for a follow-up appointment!
Wait a minute. Isn't Cleo the pug patient in question? Who's this??
Deedee came along because I knew, that after a 3 hour roundtrip car ride plus 1 1/2 to 3 hour appointment, I would come home to peeped-on-herself-puppy. No one wants to come home to that. So she joined us in the examination room.
Cleo was happy to share the spotlight. Cleo does not like vets, sam I am.
There was a rescue kitten at the check-in desk. Somebastard threw it out of a moving car's window. It's going to a good home.
Deedee was wiped out after seeing the vet. Even though she wasn't the pug patient, she got A LOT of attention.
Actually, both pugs were pretty wiped.

Bath Day!
We love bath day. And, by 'we', I of course mean Dave and I. We drop off the pugs with the fab people at Spot Pet Care and a few hours later -- voila! they are fresh, fluffy and clean! And, adorned with matching bandannas!
Cleo and Sasha are not huge fans, but they are willing to endure for the treats.
Deedee, on the other hand, appears to love Bath Day. Whenever we pass the groomers, be it Bath Day or not, she tries to pull us into the door.

What the..??
One very sad morning, I walk out to our living room to see -- this.
eh? What are these strange little pink balls? a new form of pug poop?? Oh no, they are the pom poms from yet another lovingly-crafted pillow by moi.
The puppy clearly doesn't have enough toys.
