Pumpkin-head pug

Little girl had a horrible reaction to a vaccination for Leptospirosis yesterday. Five hours after the shot, all of the sudden, within 15 minutes, I watched my little baby's face and head swell up to the size and consistency of a bowling ball. She couldn't even open her eyes.

Luckily, our vet saw her immediately, and gave her a dose of intravenous steroids that put her on the path to Immediate Mend! Soon, she went from looking like a cantalope to looking like a pug-Sharpei.

Later, as the swelling went done, more like a French bulldog.

Those fatter lips were sure handy for chewing her favorite bone.
